When you’re new in town, it usually doesn’t take long to start picking favorites. And by favorites, of course, I’m referring to where to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even a few drinks in between.
Since moving to town in 2014, my wife and I have tried eating (and drinking) just about everywhere we can. In part, because we love to support local businesses, but mostly because we really like to eat (and drink).
If you happen to enjoy a particular restaurant or bar and it doesn’t appear on this list, it might be because I either…
- haven’t been there enough to form an opinion, or
- I’ve been there and didn’t have a great experience.
In all likelihood, however, I simply forgot to include it. What can I say? For a small town, Fort Erie has a lot of options to choose from.
Here are my top picks (in no particular order).
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner & Bars
- Scuttlebutt Tap & Eatery
- 335 On The Ridge
- Trailside Bar & Grill
- Bridgewater Country Club
- South Coast Cookhouse
- The Barrel
I used boldface for The Barrel (above) because, as some of you may know, I run a monthly gift card giveaway. And, for the next few months, the prize is going to be a $50 gift card to The Barrel.
This isn’t by chance, of course. I chose to give away a gift card to The Barrel because…
- it’s a top-rated Fort Erie restaurant and
- it’s a personal favorite of mine.
Please enter the monthly gift card giveaway, share this post on Facebook, and leave a comment below. Be sure to mention in your comment if I happened to miss a personal favorite of yours here in town.
Note: I tried to avoid chains in this post, such as Chuck’s Roadhouse and Pizza Pizza. Nothing wrong with chains, but I wanted to stick to options unique to Fort Erie.
