In case you aren’t familiar, Angie Scott is the owner and operator of Creative Dining by Angie. Born and raised in Fort Erie, and a proud member of the Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce, Angie shares with me in episode six of The Fort Erie Podcast her journey to running a small business (and feeding a small army) in a small town.
It seems that Mary-Lou Ambrose-Little is most often connected to the Ridgeway Farmers’ Market, but did you know that she’s also responsible for the Stevensville Wednesday Market and so much more? As a member of the Ridgeway Business Improvement Area (BIA), Mary-Lou is passionate about her role in the community. Join me as she and I have a chat at The Scuttlebutt in Stevensville about everything from her ties to this area to her favorite beer at Brimstone Brewing.
From a career in accounting to…his own retail venture? Join me for a discussion with Don Irvine. He’s not only the (well-dressed) owner and operator of The Lonely Guy Boutique, but also the treasurer of the Ridgeway Business Improvement Area (BIA) and a professional in real estate appraisal.
From a young age, Nick Dubanow knew he wanted to be involved in local politics. Now a Fort Erie town councillor, he isn’t the type of politician to shy away from conversation (let alone controversy). Join me for the third episode of The Fort Erie Podcast in which Nick shares his outlook on some of the town’s most pressing issues, including affordable housing and youth retention.
After relocating to Fort Erie many years ago, Tina Tourountzas founded Southsides Patio Bar and Grill with one simple vision in mind — to keep customers coming back for their “great food, amazing staff, and reasonable prices.” In my opinion, Southsides is so much more than that. From gorgeous riverside views to massive outdoor summer concerts, Tina has created something truly special for residents of Fort Erie.
The Santa Claus Parade, fireworks on Canada Day, the Fort Erie Lions Club, the Adult Literacy Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Niagara, the Kinsmen Pool…is there anything this two-term former town councillor can’t do? Join me for a chat with Stephen Passero on the debut episode of The Fort Erie Podcast.
