Last week, I found out that, among more than 1,000 eligible realtors in Niagara Region, I was nominated in three different categories for the 6th Annual NAR Awards Gala, which will be taking place in Thorold on April 4, 2020.
When most people think of the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre, daycare is the first thing that comes to mind. But did you know that the FENFC offers a wide variety of programs for all stages of life, including opportunities for education, employment, and a healthy lifestyle? Jennifer Dockstader, executive director of the FENFC, joins me to talk about community programming and some her favorite annual events.

When I decided to sell my home, Brent walked me through the entire process and kept me informed of every step. Brent lives and breathes real estate and is extremely informed. Couldn’t be happier selling with Brent.

In every two-year registration period, realtors in Ontario are required to complete courses in continuing education.
In my first two years as a registrant with RECO — known as my “provisional” period — I was required to complete one elective (articling) course through the OREA Real Estate College. My choices included:
- Principles of Appraisal
- Real Estate Investment Analysis
- Principles of Mortgage Financing
- Principles of Property Management
In the end, I decided to take Principles of Mortgage Financing.
I cannot rave enough about working with Brent. He’s the most self-motivated, hard-working realtor I’ve ever worked with and…bringing on Brent to sell your home is like hiring an experienced marketing agency. He’s an active advocate that keeps you in the loop with regular texts, emails, educational reports and more. Brent listened to me, shared frank and honest feedback with me, and worked for me to get my house sold. I could not be happier that I chose Brent and gladly recommend him to everyone I know.

The Fort Erie Podcast made its debut at the end of 2019, amassing more than 1,000 local listeners over its first 10 episodes. Returning for its second season on February 25, 2020, listeners can expect a number of changes to the format of the show, thanks in no small part to listener feedback. This short trailer (teaser) episode offers a preview of what Fort Erie residents can expect for season two.

Brent listened to what we wanted, knew our circumstances and worked hard to get us what we needed! We now have a beautiful home we love!

When I promote a new listing on Facebook, I often receive comments from local users like…
Housing prices in Fort Erie have gone crazy. I’ve lived and worked here all my life but I won’t be able to afford to retire here.
How are young families ever supposed to be able to buy their first house?
I’m barely getting by as it is. I’ll never be able to buy a home of my own.
You get the idea.
While concerns about affordable housing are perfectly valid — and I will touch on this later — I thought I’d take a moment to dive into what the average household (or family) can realistically afford in this area.
I’ve got a great new listing here in Crystal Beach and I’d love to show it to you this Sunday, January 12, 2020, between 2 and 4 PM.
